without the edge there would be no boundaries how would we learn life’s hard lessons without the edge to fall from
it spirals in our dna
even blood has an edge
the edge is where you go to lose control
to find the wilderness in your veins
to breathe and dance and howl
the edge is empty space
that infinite understanding that black and white
are an illusion
where heartbeat and heartsong collide
she has consequences, though
has swallowed ships and planes and trains
our greatest technologies can fall too j
ust ask the titanic when it hit the edge
she has a cruel streak
and some lessons learned on the edge are unrecoverable
but she can be gentle in her lessons
suspended between the worlds
of moonset and dawn
water and land
cliff and air
rock and sand
there are gaps where edge whispers her lessons softly
in a silky voice only you can hear
